Robert “Nick” Shealy is the son of the late George C. and Anna N. Shealy. He is married to Melanie H. Shealy, and they are the parents of Austin Shealy (Gabrielle), Alexis Shealy Canepa (Glenn), and the grandparents of Waylon and Wrenley Shealy, and Paisley Canepa. Nick and his family are members of St Matthews Lutheran Church, in Pomaria, South Carolina, where he has served on church council over many years. Nick is an active member, and Past Master, of Prosperity Masonic lodge #115, and is also an active member in Little Mountain Lodge #281.

Nick graduated from Newberry High School in 1989, and Midlands Technical College in 1990. Through determination he earned his Certified Loss Control Certification (CLCP), Manager Internship Program (MIP), as well as Certified Key Accounts Executive (CKAE) from the Wisconsin School of Business. Nick is currently enrolled at Columbia Southern University where he is working to gain his Bachelor’s Degree in Business. He has been employed with Newberry Electric Cooperative for 33 years. As an employee he has had the opportunity to work in many various positions, starting as an apprentice lineman and moving up the ranks to his current position as Vice President of Government Relations and Safety Compliance.

Nick is honored to serve Newberry County, as District 4 Councilman.
