The Newberry County Safe Streets and Roads Steering Committee will be hosting public engagement meetings to introduce residents to the process for developing a Safety Action Plan that will be committed to eliminating roadway fatalities and serious injuries.
The committee would like to receive feedback from members of the public to better identify areas on Newberry County’s roadway network in need of safety improvements related to pedestrians, bicyclists, and/or motorized vehicles.
The meetings will take place as follows:
• Wednesday, June 24 – Little Mountain, Derrick Center 16 Depot Street.
• Thursday, June 25 – Pomaria Community Center, 138 Folk Street.
• Tuesday, June 30 – Newberry Courthouse Annex, 1309 College Street.
• Thursday, July 9 – Whitmire Town Hall Annex, 16 Main Street.
All meetings will take place 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and are drop-in style!
