Established in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, this 276 acre park is full of large pines and old-growth hardwoods and contains miles of hiking, biking, and equestrians trails. Lynch's Woods Park is OPEN Monday - Sunday  Dawn to Dusk

NOTICE: On the first Tuesday of each month, vehicles will be permitted to drive through the park between the hours of 9 AM to 3 PM. Vehicles must adhere to the 10-mph speed limit and use caution through the park. This access will be evaluated and may be revoked when/if necessary.

Park Highlights

  • Lynch's Woods Park Sign0.2 mile ADA trail located at the front of the park. This trail is made of natural materials and loops around for easy access.
  • 1 mile designated TRACK trail for kids and their families; TRACK your adventure on Kids in Parks website to receive a sticker.
  • 7.5 miles of hiking and bicycling trails with twisting turns, short hills, and intricate creek crossings; bicycle trails are considered intermediate.
  • 6.1 miles of equestrian trails that offer a peaceful experience surrounded by nature. Stay on trails marked as equestrian.
  • 4 mile section of the Palmetto Trail – Lynch’s Woods Passage – “Gateway to the Upstate.”
  • 4.25 mile gravel road that loops around the park. - CLOSED TO VEHICLES; OPEN TO HIKERS, BICYCLISTS, EQUESTRIANS
  • Open year round from dawn to dusk weather and conditions permitting. Feel free to call or text before visiting: 803-924-8328.
  • NO overnight camping permitted. NO fires or open flame permitted.
  • Restroom available (basic pit toilet style).
