Important Polling Location Updates for Newberry County’s 2026 Primary RUNOFF Election – For Candidate Information
Due to unforeseen conflicts or challenges at official locations, some polling locations in Newberry County have been temporarily relocated for the 2026 Statewide Primaries (RUNOFF). While our office typically notifies affected voters via USPS postcard, current limitations preclude this method of notification.
Polling location changes occurring within seven days of an election or primary are considered emergency relocations. In accordance with South Carolina Code of Laws § 7-7-910, this office has provided notice to the State Election Commission and the Newberry County Delegation regarding these polling location adjustments. To ensure voter access and transparency, we are disseminating information through multiple channels:
- Agency Website: https://www.newberrycounty.gov/
- Signage: Prominently displayed at the affected facilities prior to June 23rd.
A full listing of all Newberry County polling locations, current as of June 16, 2026, is attached for your reference. Please direct any voter inquiries regarding location changes to these resources.

The Newberry County Voter Registration and Election Office processes and updates all information related to our voters. The County's files are part of an internal interactive statewide computerized voter registration database. This database serves as one source for selection of jurors in the city and county; it further provides the information used for all elections.
Our office is responsible for training all election personnel, providing election materials, and performing all technical functions on the electronic voting machines for elections held in Newberry County. These elections include federal, state, county-wide offices, school district trustees, municipal and special elections. Our department educates the public about the election process and encourages the public to participate in all elections.
We also coordinate the activities of the County Board of Voter Registration and Election Commission members. Our office is dedicated to the principle and the importance of each citizen's right to register, and once registered, his or her right to vote in a fair and unbiased process.
